The next (sixth) Tamworth Round Up is on again!
Venue (Moke Central) - Austin Tourist Park, Tamworth. Simply too good when we used them in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2017 and 2018 to even think about changing it.
Dates - Starts Wednesday 21/10/2020 and goes through until Sunday 25/10/2020. A more detailed program will be put up on here as we work it out, but as with past years the main event will be on the weekend, however we will have day trips organised for those who want to come earlier to make a decent trip of it.
Activities - Those who have attended Round Ups in the past will be aware that they are fundamentally a driving event and (particularly over the first couple of days) involves showing people around the back roads (including some gravel) of the Tamworth district. We do keep the Saturday and Sunday drives as bitumen only though for those with Mokes - and Moke owners - that don't like the dirt so much.
The focus of this event has always been to get people together to actually get out and drive their Mokes with like minded enthusiasts, but there is also plenty of time to stop and check out the scenery and maybe a few local attractions along the way. The evenings are a casual affair, again with plenty of time for people to catch up with old friends and get to know new ones.
Organisers - Newie (Steve) and KMC (Greg) - with a little help from our friends
Website - This website is for the 2020 event if you'd like to share the link with non forum members, but all of the latest updates etc will certainly also be put up on the Tamworth 2020 board on the Forum as things develop : www.mokeforum.com.au. Our Facebook page will also be updated periodically.
So the invitation is out to all who have attended in the past and all the rest of you who don't know what you've been missing . Mark your calendars, start work on getting your Moke up to speed (if necessary) and getting whatever permissions you may need from the wife, girlfriend, boss, or whoever is applicable in your case.
If you have any questions, a dedicated board has been created in the Forum's Events section : www.mokeforum.com.au/index.php?board=115.0 (you can also send a PM to Newie and KMC from the Forum). Alternatively, use the Contact page to send us your question or email [email protected] .
